Stanislas was born in Montreal on June 20 1876 one year before Canada's Confederation. In 1901 he married Florida Desmarais at St Vincent de Paul church in Montreal. The 1921 census shows Stanislas working as a clerk with his 8 kids at home. He died in Montreal at the age of 77 and was buried at St-Francois d'Assise cemetery.

Florida was the middle child of 3 born to Antonie and Edwidge Desmarais. She and her sister worked sewing and mending clothes. Florida was 21 when she married Stanislas who was 25. Together they raised 8 children. Florida died 15 years before her husband at the age of 56.
